After 3 months of planning the first Couchsurfing Camp in Hamburg “Hamburg unsere Perle 2012″ took place last weekend with the best summer weather you can have. Round about 250-300 Couchsurfers made it a memorable weekend full of good vibes, funny city tours, sunny bbq and massive parties – good times in Hamburg!! Hard to describe, so a video is possibly the best way to tell the story.
Thanks to all participants and my HHUP12 Team buddies who made it happen!
Since we started organizing this event 3 months ago we always hoped for good weather to come – this is pretty rare in Hamburg. But not this weekend: we are glad to tell you that we will have perfect summer weather on all days – it’s getting so hot! Nevertheless the organizers have done a lot of work the last days to manage registrations and handling out the final program, also a Pubcrawl map for Friday night was created in a night session
Use your chance to have a look at the full program with the attached PDF. If you have a printer: print it out and take it with you to get even more excited
(At the moment we are handling out to print as much as possible)
Moreover we asked our Hamburg Party Experts to set up a list of cool bars & clubs to go after our Kick-Off at the Beachclub. We have to leave this awesome venue at midnight due to noise problems – but no Prob: we have a bunch of Clubs around the corner and as you might know the parties are starting mostly at midnight.
We are even more excited to tell you that we handled out a special deal for all Attendees with the club “Waagenbau” which is located just a few steps away, this means you have to pay only half the price with your wristband (3€ instead of 6€)!!!
Of course: not every participant is fan of the same music this is why Steve & Graham set up a list of cool opportunities for every kind of music-style for the Partyarea around the “Schanze” (where the Beachclub is located) and the famous “Reeperbahn” (where we will also have our main party on Sat). As we make no guided walk just split up in tiny groups, scream “partytime!”, empty your drink and head out to the spot that fits your style best!
Venues to go @Schanze:
Venues to go @Reeperbahn:
How to get there from Schanze?
Just go to the S/UBahn, take the Subway U3 (direction Hauptbahnhof) and get off at station “St.Pauli”.
CouchSurfing Hamburg invites you to join us for a weekend of summer fun on 17.-19th August 2012 in northern Germany!
Ever since Hamburg has been one of the World’s most important harbour cities with many sailors visiting far away from their home. Here they found the Reeperbahn which is very close to the harbour and they loved to go out there after a long trip – they found everything they missed during the long time on high seas: red light district, pubs & bars and live music.
And exactly that is what YOU will experience, too – but Hamburg has much more to offer (filmed in January – now we have no snow anymore ):
Two days of tours, activities, grilling, chilling, beach-sitting and big parties are being planned! Reserve the dates and look for hosts and surfers and ride shares!
This tour is for everyone that doesn´t feel like a 4h tour is the right thing after a night of party and excitement.
In 2 hours this light version will show you about 10-15 sights of Hamburg with some information on the side.
It is still going to be a walking tour, so it will take place in the afternoon.
This should give you the time to come back to life after what ever might have happened the night before!
You want to see the main Spots of Hamburg? Join our guides for a combined walking & boat tour!
Beside the ancient buildings at the city centre we’ll discover hamburgs famous harbour and it’s surrounding by taking a ferry.
Moreover you get to see Hamburg from above by visiting two of the most famous churches. The tour will last aprox. around 4h but our lovely guides will be open to change the route according to the mood of the attendees – we have a lot of opportunities e.g. to walk the Old Elbe Tunnel, make a stop at the museum harbour Övelgönne, have some Fischbrötchen or try the famous Franzbrötchen at a bakery…
So: get the most out of Hamburg, charge the batteries of your Cam and prepare yourself with a nice breakfast (there are a lot of Snack opportunities along the way, too)
Discover Hamburg the active way and join our bike guides at the Stadtpark: one of the cheapest and best options to see as much of the city as possible!
You prefer cycling instead of walking?
Then join our Tour by bike and see main sights such as Jungfernstieg/town hall, Hafencity, Landungsbrücken or Reeperbahn as well as the lovely Alsterpark next to the Außenalster.
